Hours of operation for the holiday weekend
About five years ago, we made an executive decision to close the store two 3-day weekends per year: Labor Day and Memorial Day. Pak Mail will be closed Labor Day weekend, September 2, 3, and 4, and will be back to normal business hours on Tuesday, September 5. All carriers — UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and freight — are closed on Monday, September 4.
From our family to yours… have a safe and rejuvenating weekend!

Pak Mail is a member of the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce
The June 20th meeting of the Manitou Springs Business Networking Group was hosted by Commonwheel Artists Co-op on Canon Ave. What a fun place to hold a morning meeting! The gallery represents talented artists creating jewelry, wearables, wall art, pottery and mixed media – something for everyone’s budget.
The Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce presented its new branding and logo – Escape & Enjoy. All in attendance received a goodie bag from the chamber. Check out this great little town!

Thank you to our customers! Some customers have been with us “forever,” some joined us recently, and some are yet to require our services. Whether it’s a private mailbox and a safe place to receive packages, notary services, a small gift shipping to Aunt Millie, documents shipping overnight, a custom box with protective packaging, or a large shipment requiring a pallet, rely on Pak Mail.
Thank you!

Holiday Giving – Drop off new, unwrapped toys at Pak Mail Colorado from now until December 15.
Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR, in Los Angeles, California. Five thousand toys were collected that year during the campaign before Christmas. The first toy was a handmade doll.

Almost 50 years later, in 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official activity of the US Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve. The 2012 Toys for Tots campaign distributed nearly 16.8 million toys to more than 7 million children.
The local Toys for Tots coordinator contacted us to join the 2016 campaign. This is Toys for Tots’ 100-year anniversary and Pak Mail Colorado’s fifth year as a Colorado Springs Toys for Tots drop-off location. The program’s mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys and to distribute them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. Their goal is to provide these children with a message of hope and to help them experience the joy of Christmas.
Providing a convenient drop-off location for Toys for Tots fits in well with Pak Mail Colorado’s other community service projects: Cell Phones for Soldiers and Styrofoam and packing peanut recycling. Giving back to the community is what it’s all about.
There are several ways to get involved; see the Toys for Tots Call to Action. The ultimate success of the annual campaign depends on local community support and the generosity of folks who donate the toys. It’s an honor to play our part. Thank you for doing your part to help families in need.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from our family to yours!

UPS – FedEx – DHL shipping
Most cable companies provide pre-paid UPS or FedEx shipping labels for returns. CenturyLink, for example, provides pre-paid UPS shipping labels for cable and modem equipment returns. Sometimes a cable company will claim that the returned equipment was not received and will not issue an account credit.
Here are some easy steps to follow when returning cable and modem equipment:
- Make a copy of the pre-paid label before attaching it to the return box.
- Drop off the pre-paid shipment at an Authorized UPS or FedEx shipping store.
- Ask for a receipt with the tracking number.
- Keep the copy of the pre-paid label and the drop-off receipt until the account has been properly credited. This is the most important step!
Usually the copy of the pre-paid label is sufficient, since it shows the carrier tracking number. The drop-off receipt shows the carrier tracking number and the drop-off date. It is challenging to track a package without the carrier tracking number.
Pak Mail 232 addresses this challenge by recording the drop-off customer’s name and information before the shipping label is scanned. If the receipt is lost or discarded by the customer, we have the ability to search for the receipt, track the package, and provide proof of delivery.
